Ultrasound Course on Foot Pathology 

Join us for an engaging one-day course focused on ultrasound imaging of foot and ankle pathology. Led by expert instructor Stephen Bird, this intensive training will offer a blend of didactic lectures and live scanning demonstrations. 

Enhance your skills in ultrasound imaging with a focus on the foot and ankle, and gain insights into common pathologies.

Highlights of the Course

• Understanding the basic principles of ultrasound imaging.
• Learning to identify anatomical structures relevant to the foot and ankle (tendons, ligaments, nerves and vessels).
• Recognising common pathologies through ultrasound (tendinosis, enthesopathy, ligament injuries, gout, calcific tendonitis)
• Opportunity to engage with industry-leading equipment from Fujifilm-Sonosite.
•  Scanning techniques demonstrated for:
• • Achilles tendon and medial calf assessment
  • Major foot and ankle tendons
  • Traumatic ankle ligament injuries
  • Plantar heel pain evaluation

Certification

CPD Certificate of completion for attendees.

• Priority access to the Ultrasound Course on Foot Pathology is planned for November 2025. An intensive, hands-on training focusing on musculoskeletal ultrasound, multiple ultrasound stations and experienced sonographers available to assist with practical scanning under supervision.
