How can we  measure what we manage?

Are the orthotics and footwear doing what was intended and how effective are they?

The F-Scan system provides research validated information that can be used in real-world applications, such as designing and testing orthotics, offloading diabetic feet and evaluating footwear. This is a wearable sensor system that can measure plantar loading.

This CPD learning opportunity can be allocated to the Self Directed Learning category (suggested 1hour) as it includes this short video, research paper to read and a recorded webinar presented in May 2020 by Foot Forward with Podiatrist Vanessa Nube discussing effective offloading.

Register and you will receive the confirmation email which contains-

  • Video link to Understanding F-Scan Pressure Mapping- process, benefits and referral process.
  • Link to recorded webinar "Effective Offloading- Clinical experience and the guidelines" with Vanessa Nube presented by FootForward.
  • An article from a research paper to review "Diabetic Feet: Offloading often not adequate in Custom-Made Footwear of patients with Diabetes and Foot Deformity"

Your own notes from this learning experience can be allocated to SDL category in your CPD log. No CPD certificate will be issued from Podiatry WA.

These links will be valid until 30th June 2020.
